The first Steak 'n Shake restaurant, where you can still go for a steakburger and a shake, is located in Normal at 1219 S. Main St..  Additionally, for all you history/trivia buffs, the first Pullman "sleeper" car, which later  became President Lincoln's funeral car, was manufactured in Bloomington.
